The US is believed to have killed hundreds of thousands of Muslims in Iraq. We know the war was based on lies because once Bush learned there were no WMDs he stayed in the war. This is an example of Americans losing their moral authority on war and war crimes since the US engaged in both and rewarded those who committed these crimes against humanity. None of this is open to debate. It's is established fact. Israel commits war crimes. The US is forced to use its veto to stop a global condemnation of Israel for their war crimes. Again, this is not open to debate. It is established fact. When you say facts cause me to lose "moral ground", I say it is you who has closed your eyes, mouth, and ears for far too long. Vetoes to protect war criminals, wars based on lies, and war crimes are examples of the gop losing moral authority for the rest of time, They are immoral because they don't know right from wrong.
