That's why I don't listen to the analysts. Well actually I do listen to them, but I do the exact oppostie of what they suggest.. at least when it comes to tech stocks. That usually works best.

I can't really fault the individual analysts. The real source of the problem is the companies that insist on inflating these guys egos and driving them to follow too many stocks.

For example I personally can only follow about 4 stocks (in the tech sector) and feel that I am on top of them. Any more and I am a wash out. And if I have to watch another sector, then my max is two tech stocks (with any decent reliability). How many stocks does the average analyst follow?
