Hi-
I totally agree with your logic but I guess I am looking at things
quite differently.
Before the s&l bailout everybody was warning of the banking crisis
impending here. what happened? all the fat cats were bailed out
and the little guy got smashed.
Currently we are seeing the same results at the expense of the little
guy in Asia.
What does that portend? More of the same. Rotation of money keeps the
world economy from floundering and the press pays little attention
to the little guy.
It sort of reminds me of drug dealers giving out free samples to keep
getting customers and "business as usual".
The end game I see currently is the destruction of the consumer around
the world.
ie. Asians supposedly use beepers and cell phones like crazy..now
that their standard of living has collapsed..wonder how sales will
do?
I think the beat will continue to go on and "productivity" numbers
will fuel the markets further.
If wages start really increasing first in the US,and the descretionary
money starts increasing..my view will change drastically.
