The part that (I suspect) remains unclear is how long it is going to take for them to complete the needed scale-up for the combined (micelle + ligand) combination. It's take them literally years to unambiguously state that they can make 500 g batches of micelle, and 200 g batches of ligand. They've been hedging on whether they can make those individual pieces at that scale for quite some time. If the combination product (again micelle + ligand) takes them years more to complete at >500 g scale, then we're in for a heck of a long and bumpy (or even bumpier) ride from the bad state we are in now. On the other hand,... if this ends up being technically simple and straightforward and can be accomplished in a few months or less,... we might not get stung so bad. The core of the problem is that that Dr. Diwan and NNVC have squandered most of our goodwill, and a lot of their credibility over the last 3-4 years.
