When I look back at what the R's were proposing in 2017 the scary thing is that 'granny would have stood a better chance of dying' if that POS had actually passed. If you recall they were specifically proposing a 5x rate band instead of 3x for the 50-64 age group, and much smaller subsidies to boot. I remember watching an interview where Gingrich was asked about that and he simply said 'they will have to pay more'. What he conveniently did not say is that those with modest incomes would most likely no longer have been able to afford insurance at all... The law needs fixing, but that is not going to happen the way things stand now unless there is some sort of collapse with millions getting hurt.
