Months ago, on this thread, I commented on GP as key to the investigation. His constant effort to set up a meeting between Trump himself and various Russians was odd considering that GP had done nothing since he graduated college but live with his mother and sister and work for free as an intern or campaign aide. First Carson and then Trump. He had no credentials, no resume other than what he made up. His Wikipedia page lays it all out for anyone to see.

But then, out of nowhere, he's being flown around Europe and paid to consult with and write papers, etc. And he's corresponding with Russians of importance and trying to set up the meetings I referred to. It didn't fit and made me suspicious. At the time, I thought about possible entrapment or that GP himself was a Russian agent. Now it appears that entrapment was involved, as even CNN alludes to.

<<Papadopoulos pleaded guilty to a charge of making false statements to the FBI, about his contact with three people who pressed him to help set up a meeting between Trump and Russian government officials during the campaign.>>

It's likely that the three people who were hired to entrap GP will be the same individuals who set up Carter Page and who tried to set up Michael Caputo by offering him some supposed Hillary emails.

I don't know much about the law surrounding entrapment, but it will be interesting to see if GP can get his sentence overturned on the basis that his perjury came about from being "entrapped". He lied or maybe just didn't remember the exact date he was first contacted by the supposed Cambridge professor, Mifsud, who has since disappeared completely.
