Where are you guys getting 'minuscule spending' from Russia on the campaign?
$1.2 million a month leveraging targeted districts is miniscule?

Also Russia oligarchs and other organizations making sizable contributions to the NRA?

Of course it wasn't just us. Putin has been spending plenty in Britain, France, Germany and
Italy as well.
I'll go with James Clapper's opinion on this. He's in a pretty good position to know:

Good grief, no!

Comey in my estimation thought he was helping Hillary by clearing her. As a political naïf, he equated clearing her with supporting her. Why, then, wait so long to deal with Weiner’s laptop? Identical thinking, IMO.

Plus, what possible career benefit could he obtain if he cleared her after the election, after she would presumably be Prez?

No, I think he saw the election polls becoming increasingly unfavorable to Hillary, and he decided to give her what he thought was a boost. However, as you say, he knee-capped her. I think Comey didn’t anticipate the ultimate result.
