Actually Koan, I've always been on record as supporting a government backed health insurance plan that provides a basic catastrophic coverage plan for all Americans. Not free but one that everyone pays into from birth on. Obamacare, however, was a poor substitute imo. The problems it was going to create were obvious to me from the minute I was able to study it, and it was the reason I didn't vote for Obama for re-election. But I basically agree with you. My daughter's illness and the $54,000 hospital bill has left me even more supportive of some kind of basic coverage.
