My mother never answers a call with no name.

Many people won't and some have "privacy manager" that will prevent the call from going through or question who you are before allowing the call through. We often will make some business calls from home with "caller ID blocked" since I don't want customers to know our private number. If they answer, some complain about why the number is blocked, but most won't answer. If we leave a message, they will call back and often ask why blocked. We give them a valid answer that they accept.

If I call my own answering service with the line blocked, they refuse to take the call with a recording that they do not accept blocked calls.
