Curl Man: Nice to see your back. IMHO the silence from the company speaks volumes.......

They gave the business forecast in the last conference call and projected sequential growth for the next two quarters (that's the farthest they forecast)....11/24 They were in NYC and visited Needham they told them the ramp to DUV continues to be strong and that they are implementing a multi-pronged strategy that will enable it to maintain its dominant position as the pre-eminent supplier of DUV light sources.

Rmember this:

* Improved KrF lasers
* Next generation ArF lasers
* The most extensive group of scientists in laser technology
* Manufacturing capacity in place
* Competition is not a signigficant threat: Lambda & Komatsu

Needham reiterated strong buy at $21 1/2--target price mid $40's
DLJ reiterated buy at $28 target price $33

IMHO Morgan Stanley is about to raise their rating back to strong buy based on valuation.......

Also Lehman will begin coverage soon...IMHO.

B)

Side note: CYMI has not neeeded any investment banking and may not need any for some time to come so why should the dealers prop the stock up?

Any one in doubt may leave...but I am more certain than ever the bottom WAS 14 7/16

Good luck,

Bob

Curly, are we all nuts?
Two major earnings reports out of the way, asia beginning to look like an annoyance rather than an anchor around tech's neck, no preannounce from CYMI, a slew of chipmakers stating they are moving to .25 this year-I'd expect heavy accumulation to begin here, some price movement but ZIP! My five-digit common position and precarious Feb 22.50s are making me wonder if we're truly smart or maybe too smart for our own good?
Any fresh insight would really HELP!
Dakota

<<<Intel is absolutely using Cymer lasers, as are the other big chip companies (ie AMD), to build the industry-wide rampup to .25m and less. >>>

Help me out here, Intel has three fabs in production for the pent2, using .25 micron geometry, they reported good yields, are these fabs using Cymer lasers? If not, how did they get around the resolution problems?

Thanks,

Ed
