So glad we have this in common. It's something you have to experience to really understand how much fun it is. In our area, we had callers available for all different levels - from beginner to Challenge. There were several steps in between each, to get to that level. Each level had about 10 new calls, progressively more complicated to learn. My husband and I also did round dancing, which was interspersed between the squares. It was basically all ball room dancing, but done in a large circle of couples being cued like by the callers. So much fun! I loved the polkas, and one of my favorites was "The Devil went Down to Georgia." The beat on that is just amazing to dance to.
