Just saw Motley Fool post by Biostock1 which reports that Bioworld stated that the $17 million sale of royalties was based on projections or estimates of 4 to 5 years of sales of Rituxan. My editoral comments follow. So as not to create confusion the $17 million is an immediate payment representing the present value of the small percentage royalty times the estimated sales. Present value means the sales times the royalty were discounted to get the present value. As an aside, the current low interest rate enviroment, probably meant a low discount rate was used, increasing the present value. Timing by management was IMO excellent.

Bob, see that Message Boards on Yahoo have attracted your attention. Never thought S.I. would have any real competition but I was wrong. The link to or from the quote function on Yahoo is powerful stuff. If you want a quote its hard not to pull up the messages. S.I. perhaps is pricing themselves out of the market. Each time I ask about the lack of ads I am told they are on here somewhere. I would prefer a lower or no entry fee for new posters and seeing an ad on every message I read. The post at Yahoo, except for yours, (and Stones), don't seem to have much insight. Like all of my previous post here at S.I. have had.<G> BTW don't know if Stone post on NVX Yahoo thread but for the sake of a good relationship I thought I better include him in the insightful group. I live in a glass house and would hate to see someone throw him at it.
