Does President Trump really know what he is saying while reading script written by a speech writer?

Edward Arnold

He struggles to read because he is extremely uneducated…Sam Nunberg, a former Trump adviser, let it be known that he sat down with Trump and went over the Constitution with him, but, as Nunberg said, “I was not able to get past the fourth amendment because he was unable to grasp the meanings. His finger was pulling down on his lips and his eyes began rolling back in his head”.

Wharton Professor William Kelley said: “Donald Trump was the dumbest goddam student I ever had.”

Another former Trump adviser said he is unable to read more than one page of reports handed to him, he has to have someone else read it then tell him what it means. Gary Cohn writing in an email: “It’s worse than you can imagine … Trump won’t read anything—not one-page memos, not the brief policy papers, nothing. He gets up halfway through meetings with world leaders because he is bored.”

Before the inauguration, Trump said: “I like bullets or I like as little as possible. I don't need, you know, 200-page reports on something that can be handled on a page. That I can tell you.”
