Well of course that's probably it. Everything I ordered could be considered food..............I guess coffee is "food", and since we moved I have to admit I don't usually pay a lot of attention to when/how I'm taxed. Although one huge incentive for moving out of the greater Seattle area after we retired was because of their onerous (and obnoxious) taxation on everything from sales tax..........10% in Seattle...........to the RTA tax to ever increasing property taxes.

Interestingly I never have ordered much food at AZ, but I'm finding that I do a lot of food ordering at WMT. When I go to my acct at their website I find a nice (and better than AZ) picture list of past purchases, which makes it easy to reorder. I'd probably still hunt around and find these same items for reorder without the list, but I do very much appreciate that feature and the ease it affords for finding the things I like. A lot of the items on that web list were purchased in-store, so they obviously track what I buy and add it to my acct.

And totally agree with how this stuff is taxed. I am not up on taxing regulations enough to fully understand how it works overall, but I'm always pleased when I'm not paying taxes on Internet orders.

Also agree their shipping dept needs work. I just clicked on the tracking number in my email alert on the status of my order and got an error message. After three tries I was finally taken to the tracking site.........Fed Ex..............and found my order.

So far I've received everything I've ever ordered from WMT, but they do make tracking orders hard. For some reason they're not in sync with shippers, which I believe is a result of poor IT data input.

Still wish them all the luck.

Happy to report my full order arrived about two hours ago, and it was all in one box. Six bags of "Seattle's Best" whole bean coffee. Two boxes of GF peanut butter crackers (We like to take a handful on hikes), and a 5 lb bag of Xylitol.

They actually represented correct tracking information while this order was processed.

I think they're applying improvements as they go.

These are very small crackers and are very yummy.
