POTUS wants to ban Mercedes & BMW vehicles from America, not knowing they both have plants here:

Trump reportedly told French President Macron last month that he would maintain his trade policy with the aim of stopping Mercedes-Benz models and BMW's from driving down Fifth Avenue in NY".

BMW's factory in Spartanburg, South Carolina, employs more than 10,000 workers and produced more than 371,000 cars in 2017. The Mercedes-Benz factory in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, builds a similar number of vehicles, and just last year parent company Daimler invested $1.3 billion in expanding the facility. Daimler also has a new factory in Charleston, South Carolina, building Sprinter vans.

Daimler declined to comment on the proposed ban, but a spokesperson pointed out that the company supports more than 150,000 jobs here, and 22.8 percent of Daimler's shareholders are from the US. Audi and BMW had not responded to a request for comment by publication time.

In a post on Twitter on Sunday, Mr. Trump laid out his expectations for the auto industry: “Car companies and others, if they want to do business in our country, have to start making things here again. WIN!”

BMW Manufacturing remains leading U.S. auto exporter despite 2017 production declines

Banning Mercedes and BMWs could be tough, as dealers may try to smuggle them in from South Carolina and Alabama, where they're made. Will need Stronger Borders! t.co

Two points, the Forbes article you cited was wrong when it said WMT didn't need higher wages. Higher wages were necessary for WMT to succeed. Two, WMT continues to be wrong when it spends nearly $100 billion in stock buybacks to prop up its stock while not investing in its business and workers.
