<<<<But a person cannot be put on trial for being unlikable>>>>

There are different trials. There is the legal trial which you are consumed with - and there is the trial by people. Much of case law is enacted into law after the fact. After someone has proven the need of a law. Limit of two presidential terms is a easily understood example. I think clearly Obama could have beaten Trump if legally been able to run. I'm willing to let Mueller decide if Trump has been legal or not. We should all do that instead of playing ridiculous games of politics!!!

But for me the most important trial is that before the American public right now. Not if all the rulings against Trump are in that gray area - but does he represent the values and wishes of the American people. He may represent your values when he as a married man talks of grabbing pussy and getting laid by young women because he can - - but he doesn't represent my values. As President he sets the guide by which we live by. The norms we find acceptable and can share with our children. He may represent your values when he fails to condemn Barr's racist comments - but who among us wants our children to fail to understand that that is insulting to some? Maybe you do? The list is endless of course and as you rationalize and justify it because of your ideology - the rest of the world thinks you are wrong. He is clearly losing that trial!

There you go again with your creative imagination.

Granted, Trump is not very likeable. But that isn't the problem. The problem is he doesn't understand government that isn't an authoritarian dictatorship. Nor does he understand the accepted limits of his office or why there should be limits to his power. Or why the bureaucracy exists and what it does. Or, for that matter, much of anything at all.
