"Yesterday's report vindicated my long term position in the stock and I couldn't care less what the anal ysts say about it."

Those are the right words, Greg.

This am is a gift from heaven, for those of us who hoped for a chance to buy after this report. Waiting to pull the trigger again....

better off with a down opening and late strength than an up opening and weak close. look for late a.m. rally when all the mm's that are downplaying earnings start to buy. who knows, just my opinion.

Greg and Et al,

What is the opinion around here on the INTC LEAPS? I see that some
have downgraded Intel a bit but I think there will be a jump in
demand due to the "millenium" trouble as people upgrade old PC's.

What is the opinion of the shorts and the longs around here?

Greg,

JMHO, but I would buy the "sell the news" <g>. The earnings upside surprise may not have sent the stock into a rally, but I think it has given it a floor just below where it is trading right now, very little risk. I also expect that the lower prices on PC's, essentially 1/2 the price of last year, will lead to a big expansion of home penetration, worldwide, this year, and exceptional unit sales increases. MHO, this should more that offset lower margins.
