"I have explained this to you before."
LMAO. I've explained that you are both wrong and nuts before, too.

The following is a guest post by David Certner, AARP legislative policy director.

The last time we made significant changes to Social Security – including adjustments to benefits – was the 1983 Social Security amendments. At the time, Social Security had less than a year’s worth of solvency, and a bipartisan agreement to put Social Security on sound financial footing was essential.

That article, like you, is ignorant. I mean downright ignorant.

Time and again I've tried to explain to you how the investment in SS works. Tim has, too. And perhaps Rat has, too, I don't know.

But whoever wrote the article -- PhD or bullshitter -- is just as lost on the subject as you are.

You will live and and die without understanding it. I don't know if you could understand if you tried, or if you're working overtime to have to avoid admitting RR saved SS i 1983. But those of us who were paying attention at the time I can assure you know exactly what happened there.

BTW, the "2.7 Trillion" is just a figure you will never understand. Every penny of that money will be paid by the federal government to the SS Trust between now and 2030, right on schedule. That isn't even at issue. The problem is the vast fortune that has already been spent.

I've explained this to far too many ignorant people over the years to do it again.
