On the BOD

This BOD is firmly against a takeover. My complaints about this BOD go beyond a position on any one issue. I simply do not believe having a BOD as unknowlegable about Internet technology gives Wall Street any confidence that NOVL can be an internet player. ITs not the kind of savy BOD that is typically associated with turnarounds and technology leaders. Schmidt is completely on his own to "save the company" and I don't like that.

Secondly the interests of the shareowners of Novell have never been a high priority for the Novell BOD. This BOD reflects only one thing CONTROL. They couldn't give a damn if the stock went down to $2 a share. The relationship you expect of a BOD and the company shareholders doesn't exist. Their interest isn't our interest.

As to the company being acquired being its only hope. Well I've stated my position in other posts and have nothing to add to what I've already said. The short of it is, I will buy the stock in the 6-7 range and hope that someone will acquire it as other profit centers for capital investment disappear. I do not consider it a short term play.
