Good grief! There was an interesting article in last month's Harpers on Mike Pence, btw, which explained how evangelicals rationalize their support for Trump in another way ... basically, they see Pence as Daniel to his Nebuchadnezzar: "At the dawn of the Trump era, the lesson contemporary evangelicals gleaned from the story of Daniel was that God’s people can survive in exile—even under the fist of a despotic ruler—so long as one of their own tribe advocates on their behalf in the corridors of power." So as long as he delivers on their issues, they're cool with the pussy grabbing and whatever else ...
