I think you'll find that a common shareholder who gets 20% of their investment back in a bankruptcy is pretty lucky.
I 100% agree. I've heard the average return for bondholders at bankruptcy is 40%, and they sit ahead of the shareholders for recovery. The median return for shareholders might be zero.
