I have to buy it on the exchange but it is the same policy I had before. The only difference is the way they calculate the deductible. The increased deductible is essentially offset by a lower gross cost. It is, of course, unsubsidized.

So, I end up being out of pocket about the same amount every year. At least, I have so far. Low 20s. Here, the provider network isn't a problem because we only have a couple of insurers and everyone is in network with BCBS. So, I have no complaints on my own behalf.

In my case I was diagnosed last year but not treated until this year, so I knew which policy to get. And I've had pretty much everything done I could have had done with minimal out of pocket expense. I'm planning to have an echo cardiogram before I leave Arkansas because I'm due for one this year. I should be in the clear next year if it comes back normal.
