Cymer is holding tough today in spite of other chips mostly being down. The tide has finally started to turn.

AMD Yields...

According to everything I've read over the past several years, AMD has never been able to get yields no matter what process technology they were on. Or, alternatively interpreted, Intel has always been able to get better yields than AMD or expectations. Thus, since both AMD and Intel are moving to 0.25 micron, we will probably hear that Intel yields are good and AMD's are bad, which will be nothing new. I wouldn't worry about AMD affecting CYMI.

Anyone buying at this level (again)? I'm thinking that a February options spread would probably be profitable. In particular, buy the 20 put and the 15 call looking for more than a 3 point move in either direction from where the stock is on Friday or Monday. KLA Tencor earnings are coming on the 20th, too.

Matt

25 transition is an economic neccessity with constrained budgets.

Yakov...Excellent Point...I don't know about AMD....but in general....if the efficacy can be proved en mass...and the cost savings is there...the market could be a lot larger than presently perceived...

Hey!...bring me a New CymerRazor!!..
