At this time (2:50 Pacific Time) ABC News Now (the late night, all news, 3 hour program that runs from about 2 am to 5 am) is doing a feature on GERN.

They are interviewing a university professior. He is saying amazing things about what life would be like. The idea that the drug might be given to kids. The idea that if this works, how much money people would be willing to pay. That they would pay almost anything for a fountain of youth, slow the aging drug.

Question: So you really see this as a reality that people will be using this drug in 5 - 10 years?

Answer: Yes. (He talks about drugs that slow aging being commonly used in the near future, especially on older people first. Mentions that we would not want to give it to kids right away, in case there are adverse effects that don't show up for 20 years.)
