I tutored a few youngsters whose parents were in the top .1 of 1%. These people have so much money they don't know what to do with it. They thought that by paying me 1k an hour that I would work harder than someone else paying me $50/$60 an hour. Fact is I worked just as hard for both families and did not give any priority for one family over the other. And when I look back, I can honestly say that they were very nice and humble, mostly eastern European, from Poland, Yugoslivia, Romania, etc and they experienced poverty as youngsters so they were kind and not stuck up. They showed off a bit; I went to their charitable functions and had to buy the $3500 Armani suits, but it was worth it as I gave out my business card to their super rich friends. These were the immigrants, from very humble backgrounds who struck it rich. They were engineers who designed swimming pools and became industrialists who marketed their product successfully. They were not Donald Trump types, but they were proud of their achievements and wealth. They let me know how much their private school tuition in Switzerland cost. I travelled the fine line of being their hired hand, but not their friend, but I was friendly with them. They never knew my real view on life.

I am pretty outraged over the government shutdown and especially Donald Trump. Who the F does this guy think he is holding Federal Workers hostage over a stupid fucking Wall that he can't get funding for. Am I misunderstanding this? The Piece of Shit President of the United States, the self-proclaimed champion of the worker, is denying Federal Workers their paychecks because he can't get funding for a Wall.
Why anyone would want to work for the city, state or Federal government is beyond me. I can't even fathom why anyone would want to work for Corporate America? One is just setting oneself up for failure and disappointment? I know people who work for Corporate America, who have made a lot of money, but their Spirits have been dismantled.
Being self-employed is the only way to go. I realized that as a young teenager.
