Maybe you and abuelita should tell that to the Canadians who regularly drive over the border to buy it cheaper. Maybe it will make them feel better.

I did learn just now that dairy has pretty much gone the way as other crops in that farmers are using crop insurance to provide guaranteed prices for themselves instead of relying on the government. This was part of a farm bill passed in 2014 that focused specifically on dairy.
