Re: SENEA -SENECA FOODS CORPORATION

Been watching this one too as it complements my Ag food basket holdings. New 10-K out this AM that may present a possible buying opportunity.

Seneca Foods Corporation (the “Company”) is unable to complete the preparation, review and filing of its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the period ended March 31, 2018 (the “Form 10-K”) within the prescribed time period without unreasonable effort or expense. The Company’s delay in filing the Form 10-K is due principally to the additional time the Company requires to complete its analysis of complex and technical accounting issues relating to “bill and hold” revenue recognition relating to a contract packing agreement with a customer. The Company is working diligently to address the foregoing matters and intends to file its Form 10-K on or before June 29, 2018, the prescribed due date pursuant to this Form 12b-25, or as soon as practicable thereafter once such matters have been resolved and the audit of its consolidated financial statements for fiscal 2018 is completed.

---------------------------------------
Not sure if this is something new and/or a new contract they have. I thought there may have been some issues relating to plant closures but not the case. I need to dig a bit deeper to find out who this customer is, the size of the contract and if this is a new contract.

If a new contract, it may indicate that this is a new business model, service as I am not familiar w/ "bill and hold" delivery.

FWIW, stock close to lows again.

EKS

I took a crack at an entry on SENEA and the MMs were jiggy with the price so I said Phuck 'em and now just have a shit bid in for this one (i.e. substantially lower than current bid/ask and GTC)

ETM (Entercom) Radio stations and content. I keep adding to my position.

entercom.com

Run by Fielding family. Chairman Emeritus keeps buying shares (hundreds of thousands)

Company made a big acquisition, may have trouble digesting it, or not as quickly as analysts have hoped, or taken on too much debt.

With insider buying, Fielding family must believe they can overcome any problems with the acquisition.

Some possible ways to win with this stock:

Reversion to mean.
Political spending increases. Wide Democratic field; candidates will spend on political ads.
Company has big sports radio operations. Could possibly benefit if/as sports betting is legalized and drives increasing listener count (and thus advertising).

Stock at $6.12 now with .$36 dividend yield while waiting.

Lot to like with this stock. Jmo, although I've been wrong many, many times.

FPH. Have been holding on to my losing position in this real estate developer (three big projects in California). There hasn't been much positive news from the company. They've had compliance or environmental issues and with no offsetting positive news, that dropped the stock from my buy price.

Yesterday they sent out what seems to be very positive news. In part:

...announced the sale of 781 homesites at Valencia (formerly Newhall Ranch) in the fourth quarter of 2019. The Company closed on 711 of these homesites, and the balance is anticipated to close in the first half of this year. The proceeds from the closed homesites were approximately $135 million.“This is a milestone for the Company, as we have been waiting for this day for a long time,” said Emile Haddad, Chairman and CEO of Five Point. “These are the first deliveries of the approximately 21,000 homesites anticipated to be delivered next in Valencia, building on the reputation of one of the premier master-planned communities in the country that already has over 60,000 existing residents and 60,000 permanent jobs.”

Company sells below stated bv, has $4.8/sh in cash, and sells now at about $7.28/sh.

Finally seeing some positive actions/results from the company and likely more in the future (many homesites still to be sold). I am a buyer of the stock today.
