Kate, for one, partial truths are not necessarily straw men. And two, Snopes doesn't make up the claims, those are things sent to them by their readers, usually from email that is sent to the readers. Although sometimes it is from a web site that the readers refer them to. Now certainly the readers may have an agenda, but you can't blame Snopes for that. The site started by checking out various urban legends. With the rise of fake news, especially Russian created fake news, that is only a fraction of what they cover now.

So you believe that Snopes just made up the fact that people have claimed that there are "no go" zones in Europe and in parts of the US? And that they just made up Emerson's allegations and apology? Kate, you asked in a previous post, What happened to you, Sam? I ask the same of you. Snopes includes references and links in their fact checking. It is only nutjobs like Robert aka Fubho who sneer at them. I don't put you in that category.
