I had a lot of browser hangs with Netscape also. Believe I was running 4.01. I downloaded 4.04, and it seems to be much more stable. It also comes with an AOL instant message feature much like ICQ. Works better than ICQ. You can chat real time and send hyperlinks.

If you have further problems with Netscape 3, what works for me is going in and clearing disk and memory cache [options, network preferences, cache] - by reinstalling netscape you probably did this
