That is another genius phrase - "High Speed Rail".

In reality these things are no faster than The Express 1938.

Non stop train from the loop to ORD
would probably be no more than 10
minutes as it is

Why bother outside of kickbacks?

As someone who spent thousands of hours on I95 and I495, I can't help but have a soft spot for the idea of fast transit around major metro areas.

Is Musk the person to do it? No idea. Besides, as driverless vehicles become reality, this problem will be solved anyway. There would be fewer vehicles, moving faster.

Pols and high speed rail. They all keep falling for this boondoggle.
