NO. Trump has repeatedly said on TV and in tweet storms that he wants legislation that will fix the problem.

you understand that what he means is give me money for my wall in any immigration legislation, or else we'll continue this hostage policy?

(D)'s are not going to fund Trump's wall. If the (R)'s want this issue gone, they can partner with the (D)'s to legislatively end the policy without funding the wall. Together, they can override any Trump veto.

Trump could end this with a phone call or an executive order. Otherwise, the cruelty will continue, with Trump and the (R)'s taking the blame.
