Sansone said in CC that business with 3com has not been affected by 3com's slowdown. 3com's slowdown deals with modems where they have huge inventory because they overestimated demand and merger with USRX screwed them up. JBIL not doing modem work for 3com. Maybe DOK can elaborate on exactly what JBIL does for 3com. 3com has been having problems for some time and last JBIL earnings report, which included the time period of 3com's difficulties, showed no adverse impact. Remember JBIL beat estimates.

3com is a great buying opportunity here. As soon as inventory problems are corrected and they learn from their mistakes, the stock will be back at 50 vey quickly. You just have to have the patience to wait it out for a while.

This is the most recent short interest info I can find on JBIL:

Ticker Month Shares Short Avg Daily Volume S/A*
JBIL 12/97 1,057,605 1,183,284 0.89
11/97 639,575 998,680 0.64
10/97 1,415,496 1,403,552 1.01
09/97 1,139,175 664,912 1.71
* S/A = Shares Short / Avg Daily Volume; it may be used as a rough
measure of days to cover.
