Do you think the "state of mind" of people and our society is the same to day as it was almost 100 years ago? Do you think the state of mind of people and society today is the same as people 300 years ago when slavry was common? Do you think the mind set of people who did follow Hitler has disappeared from the human species? Of course not! It has been moderated by modern understanding and civilization. People today cannot even be openly sexist, homophobic, let alone racist or god forbid believe in slavery! It has only been 150 years since we got rid of slavery, less than a 100 years since women got the vote, only 50 years since we ended segregation and less then a decade since gay marriage has become legal. This is the march of civilization, so Trump has to work within these constraints imposed on him by modern civilization, but the big surprise to everyone is how many people are still willing to go as far as they are with regard to, bigotry, racism, hate and diminishing our democracy as they have. Trump got elected because it was hard for anyone to believe so many would fall for his despotism!! << I recommend you visit the holocaust museum in DC. If you leave that place and still think any Hitler analogies are valid in our current political environment, I'm afraid there's no hope for you. PLEASE avoid the casual and lazy analogies to Hitler. Lets be more responsible and less ignorant. Trump having a rally and waving to his supporters does not make him Hitler nor are they exchanging Nazi salutes.
