I've been thinking about where I would hide a computer, because surveillance video does little good if someone gets into your home and steals your electronics.

Maybe a wifi external drive is the way to go and easier to hide.

I'm not a dog person and wouldn't want to own one myself, but I'd consider getting an alarm system that had a dog bark as a deterrent if it were realistic enough to do the job.

Luckily, it would be very unlikely for anyone to rob my place. I have a very private, 3rd floor condo that would not only be a lot of trouble to break into, but a lot of trouble to steal stuff from if they were big items like a TV. I think thieves would be more likely to target literally anyone else in the complex before me.
