I know nothing about Sikhs, Thomas, except that the ones living around San Francisco seem to be very wealthy. Perhaps someone who does will answer your question about the knives. A Third Reich nation state devoid of evil/racism? Isn't that exactly what made it powerful, in a horrendous sense? What exactly do you mean? I think I might prefer personally to just start with reforming the United Nations!!!!!! We are SO far from any kind of powerful world state, even a beneficient one. Women are still considered property in much of the world, and a healthy first step would just be to get all governments to agree on outlawing female circumcision and educating all women to the same extent that men are educated. I totally agree with your views of compassion for people all over the planet who are disadvantaged, but I have doubts that American Imperialism (how exactly are you defining this) is the answer. I'm not sure what is, though.
