I'm not giving a moral judgement here I wasn't making one, either, just offering a potential explanation. Shouldn't we try and figure that out? You mean what to do about it? I'm at a loss. Telling people it's on them is not constructive and I have nothing else.

"If those counties stay the same we may get Trump for another 4 years" Yup; pretty much doesn't matter that he loses California by 5 million votes instead of 3. Foreign nations know that, too. That's why the battleground states are also the trade war battleground states. For instance, Trump's trying to create jobs in KT, and other countries are putting tariffs on KT goods to kill jobs. "Shouldn't we try and figure that out?" If Trump kicks out an undocumented Mexican father, and an African-American gets the job, he'll say he's better off now than 4 years ago, and his family will vote for Trump. They won't be sweating the small stuff, which is pretty much everything except "Daddy has a job".
