Most kick in the front door during the day when people are at work. I knew a girl that this happened too. They put a Bolt Buddy in to prevent the jamb from breaking. Heard on the radio that B&E's are up in the city and at night as well. People urged to keep all doors and windows locked.

And you are right they don't spend much time in the house or car, its a matter of seconds. I use to be an insurance appraiser and car B&E's were so common it was ridiculous. In and out in seconds didn't matter if it had an alarm of not.
