Well Kent,

The market gives and takes away. Some interesting figures on VVUS.
Vinik is still loaded with VVUS shares as of Nov.

VIVUS INC.(NASDAQ:VVUS)

Beneficial Shareholder Filings
(* denotes new position)

Holder Source # Shrs Previous Net Chg.% Chng.% Owned Last Report
Vinik Asset 13(d) 1,603,600 2,389,100 -785,500 -32.9% 4.8% 11/03/97
Management

If Vinik still owns 4.8% he could easily start another short squeeze
on some VVUS good news that is expected this month! The last time he
started buying in around $23 before he unloaded at the upper $38
range. Heck, now Vinik can average down his $23 - $27 average price
to $17 to $20 if he loads up at the current $11.00 to $13.00.
