mannie's idea was good. :) It was, except that I fell in love with Victoria and thought it a perfect place to live, not just to visit. Something about the town just felt right and it was so walkable, which I did during my visit. I could do without the high tea. I also considered the Oregon coast. But that was a couple of decades ago. BTW, I was, indeed, having tea when the Queen showed up. She was in town for the Commonwealth Games, IIRC. Walked right by me as I sat there with my mouth full, presumably to some private room. It was cool.
