Longnshort, interesting theory. Obama wanted to keep the Russians around as an excuse to expand government surveillance powers. Only problem is that if that were true, Obama would not have told the NSA to "stand down." Instead, he would have made a big deal over the Russian hacking. The real reason, of course, is that Obama feared overplaying that card. He and Hillary had too much to lose, and playing up Russian conspiracy theories would have backfired to the advantage of the Republicans. Only after Trump won the election did they do the whole Russian conspiracy theory B.S. Because by then they had nothing to lose. Tenchusatsu
