OK, so you use some of the money to protect students, but the thesis is the need to get the people educated and allocate a lot of money to that end. To allocate as much money as possible to get them educated, because without education they have no chance of bettering their situation.

Their problem, just like so many uneducated in this country who trust Trump, is that they cannot discern between people who will help them and people who wont; and education is the best remedy for that.

And on:" all politics are local" an LBJ comment as I remember, Tom Frank in his book:"What is wrong with Kansas" pointed out people in rural areas are voting against their own best interests when they elect Republicans.

And that is local, but still, many people looking our their front door cannot see the enemy. If they would work on their education they would make fewer mistakes in judging people.

"Wouldn’t it have to be a safe and secure environment first before any amount of education spending could be effective?"

"No, that is putting the cart before the horse."

Cart, meet horse shit.
