greg - Re: "ask some of your friends on the Intel thread how they feel after forced liquidations of margined positions made them feel. There are alot of sick puppies out their licking their wound in silence."

Are you joking?

Intel is only off 25% from its all time highs - and was down 32% for a very brief period. True, some shareholders with heavy margin were hurt.

But what has AMD done? It is down 62% from its high! Look at all the people who bailed out of AMD that post (and used to post) on this thread!

Poor old Martin A-B is a case in point - he got in at $37 to put his kiddies through college! I think he bailed out with a major loss after the second earnings warning in early October! And he convinced his friends to get in at $41 1/2!

Well, MAB's kids ain't going to college on HIS AMD stock!

Then wise old Martin bought back in on Dec. 5 - at about $21 1/2! Has he been heard from since? He's racked up another $3 point loss.

Then there is Albert Kovalyov! Wow - he got in to AMD at $30 - $35! How do you think he liked his margin calls?

Paul
