While no one can call the bottom consistently, Oracle at these levels offers significant potential for appreciation within the next 12 months. From a fundamental point of view, their DB competition has floundered (Sybase, Informix, Ingres/CA). If I were in the market for a DB, I would be very concerned about doing business with these competitors due to their precarious future and questionable financial resources for future development/support -- a + for ORCL.

Everyone hates ORCL right now, but when do you buy it -- when everyone loves it at $35+/sh?
