Yes, at the highest levels the law is purely existential and simply depends on ones political beliefs

The supreme court has been deciding things 5/4 for a long time always along party lines. So the law does not follow logic, it follows political power.

So one has to simply decide which party they think makes the best law.

IMO it is the Democrats hands down.

I have the advantage of writing one day later. SCOTUS says the new ban is acceptable even though it's against the law. The law says no one can be kept out of the US based on the state of origin. SCOTUS says that law is irrelevant which also means the rule of law is dead. The dictator can dictate.

The US lasted longer than our founders probably thought but it's over.
