Why do you think it's bad news? Maybe (IMO probably) it's good!

You must invest with confidence; otherwise, fear will drive your decisions and you'll end up a schmuck dealing with a margin call.

Unfortunately I bought in at 15.1042 and now I wonder if I will ever get it back. I'm new to investing and I think I made my first mistake. Can anyone give me some comforting news about this stock?

If your stomache churns when you buy a stock at 15 and it drops 10%, you really ought to reconsider tech stocks. <g>

CS is way up on the news of an announcement. Enough chance of a takeover to excite somebody, apparently (and a merger would make sense at this point -- someone like Nortel could really use CS's markets).
