My dad used to plant a row every week - so it would mature over a longer time period. He'd take it to his bank and give it to employees till they were sick of it. LOL A local farmer grows corn near a small river - so good I buy his and use my limited garden for items we eat and/or can. I have 60 tomatoes and 80 (sweet and hot) peppers,100 sweet onions, cilantra,oregano for my Salsa. In October I have a Salsa party and about 5-6 couples bring their items. I usually pick up the slack on those items others fall short of. Then in November we make sauerkraut. Love making food that tastes so much better than store bought and it makes a nice thoughtful gift to friends. Bob
