Then maybe Europe should recognize its indebtedness to Russia, lol. At the very least, stop ring-fencing Russia with NATO? I suppose they figured that allowing Russia to effective turn Eastern Europe into vassal states pretty much paid off that debt. Allowing Russia to try to take more and more territory would seem to be a rational response. Have you not been paying attention over the past few decades? Countries that managed to slip the yoke of the Russians seem to have a desire to keep it that way. Based on Russian behavior, their only realistic opportunity to do that is to join NATO.
