Whoops! The Engadget post here ...

... was excellent. I did mean, however to delete the preceeding post which was simply an example of a curious clickable links issue we are working through, but got distracted and missed the window.

Thanks to Don for submitting the original referenced post 306 ... ' What you need to know before going with a smaller wireless carrier.' I learned several things from it:

• I was rather unfamiliar with Google's Project Fi, totally unfamiliar with Mint Mobile, and didn't realize Republic Wireless was still active. All 3 are viable candidates for consideration as a budget mobile wireless provider.

• I also didn't realize that Verizon's Oath (formerly AOL) subsidiary now owns Engadget.
