I say let the action begin.

Don't be surprised if you see a reversal in CPQ in the final 30 min of trading. Dell has nicely reversed itself from the downward trend.
We shall see.

I would like to point out that during the last 5 years this market has been in a bull phase. That may be ending. We are at least in a sideways market if not in the beginning of a bear market. When Cpq breaks it's bear trend I'll be a believer but from what I've seen recently it looks like the bulls will have a tough time with it.
Mabey I'm wrong but I got out of the last of my longs this AM and went short when the market broke to new highs and we couldn't get past 59. Something is definately wrong.

Andreas - That's a pretty astute observation. I looked at exactly the same thing before buying the stock, of course the market has a way of surprising us, doesn't it? Anyone with comments on the continuing Dell/CPQ divergence? Dell getting closer to it's highs every day. I bought CPQ because of it's strength and forays into the enterprise level of computing, although lately I wonder if Dell and CPQ are in the same business...

John

The McNabb's would have been much better off just shorting CPQ instead of screwing around with Dell so far!!!

I think you realize that all the tech stocks started the down trend at around Oct of last year,
not just CPQ alone. So actually we have already gone through a small bear market since
last OCT, and now it is at the bottom. In April of 1998, most people will forget the Asian currency crisis, and it will be business as usual again !!!! The what so called Asian crisis is nothing more than short of DOLLAR RESERVE to maintain the short term debt.Nothing more at all.
