A 3/94 article mentions Jeffrey Gannon (when at GE) in a discussion of the importance of the China market for GE (and ATT).

"Jeffrey Gannon of General Electric, which has invested $1.2 billion in China, told Christopher: 'We are looking to shift the center of gravity of our company towards this high growth market.' That echoed GE's chief executive officer, Jack Welch, who recently said that if GE's strategy of investment in China is wrong, 'it's a billion dollars, a couple of billion dollars. If it is right, it is the future of this company for the next century.'
